Who writes this

TeacherPayGuide is written by a small editorial team that has spent years inside teacher professional learning and continuing-education administration: reading district salary schedules, answering pre-approval questions and chasing transcript deadlines on teachers' behalf. The questions we heard most, about columns, approval forms and filing dates, were never really about courses. They were about the district's rules. This site writes those rules down, state by state and district by district.

Editorial policy

  • Primary sources. Every state or district rule links to the regulation, leaflet, schedule or HR page it came from, with the date we read it.
  • No invented numbers. We do not estimate what a lane change is worth. We link to the schedule and let you read your own cell.
  • Plain about limits. Districts decide what counts. Where a rule is unclear or unpublished, we say so and mark it "confirm".
  • Provider tables are factual and sorted by price. Each row shows the provider's published list price on the date shown, the format, and the university that issues the transcript. We do not rank providers by quality, and we do not accept payment to change a price, a row or its order.
  • Commercial relationships. TeacherPayGuide may have commercial relationships with providers mentioned on this site. Those relationships never alter a rule, a deadline or a price we publish.
  • Reviewed and dated. Each guide shows its last review date. Rules change; the state agency and your district are the final word.

Corrections

Every guide is re-checked against its state or district source, and each page shows its last review date. When a rule, deadline or price changes, the page is corrected with a dated note.

We do not give individual pay or legal advice; your district's HR office and your association are the right places for that.
